“Souper Bowl” Soup Sale

MGUMC has cooked up a new play to tackle hunger for this year’s Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb 13th.

We’re asking our ‘soup-er star’ members to donate their favorite soups to sell to the congregation and community as part of the ‘Souper Bowl Sunday’ effort to address hunger.

We plan to sell quart containers of homemade soups from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12th, and 11-noon, Sunday, Feb. 13th. The cost will be $7 a quart with half of the proceeds going for LCCM. If you would like to donate a can of soup you may receive $1 off, making it a deal for $6.

In order to provide quart containers, please indicate the following:

Name of ‘soup-erb’ cook:

Kind of soup(s) to be donated:

Quantity of soup(s) to be donated:

To allow for advertising the event and soups to the community, please have your information into the office by Sunday, Jan.23.

One of our members has agreed to match any donations up to $2,500. This is for any funds apart from regular donations. Please mark your donation as “Match Challenge”. All donations need to be in by Feb. 6th.
