Throughout the course of the Covid-19 Pandemic our church has exercised appropriate caution regarding limiting the spread of this deadly virus. From virtual worship during the most severe months to implementing a strict social distancing and mask policy once in-person worship resumed. We do this in order to protect one another as an expression of Jesus’ command that we love one another. In doing so we have been successful as a community in not harming each other by spreading this terrible virus to others. I thank you all for your understanding and cooperation over the past year.
In recent months we have seen vaccines (please get vaccinated if you have not already) bring the brightest light of hope yet to these dark days we have been living in. Furthermore, with the warm weather here, our congregation has the opportunity to move the 10AM service outside to the Campmeeting Tabernacle. As we consider these new circumstances I am prepared to relax our mask policy for worship in the tabernacle. This DOES NOT mean that we are doing away with masks completely. As I mentioned before, our church has exercised caution throughout the pandemic as an act of Christs’ love we will continue to do that. Therefore, we will continue social distancing during worship. This means: 1. Family groups/individuals will be asked to keep a 6-foot distance between themselves and other worshipers, especially in the pews. 2. Communion will continue to be offered using pre-filled individual sealed servings. In addition, face masks need to be worn upon arrival and departure from the tabernacle or if you get up during the service to use the rest room. Facemasks DO NOT need to be worn when you are seated for worship. I realize for some this policy will seem to go too far and for others it will not go far enough. However, it is my hope that this new policy will serve simply a compromise. As always, If you still do not feel comfortable attending worship in the tabernacle we recommend you continue worshipping with us using the weekly videos produced and shared on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAiI6DCKYfsgvDgjfchrEag
